Our Projects

The Fortified Club is currently implementing three (3) projects in the Finance, Education and Management Industries. The projects are long-term projects with sustainability plans that will run over a long period of time. Read through by exploring each project and how you can become part of these projects.

Mobile Banking Project

Project Goal: To increase financial inclusion in Cameroon by launching a user-friendly mobile banking platform.
Project Activities:
- Conduct market research to understand the needs and preferences of the target population (unbanked/underbanked populations in Cameroon).
- Develop a secure and user-friendly mobile banking application with features such as:
* Account opening and management.
* Mobile money transfers (P2P and business payments).
*Bill payments and airtime top-up.
*Partner with mobile network operators (MNOs) to ensure wide accessibility.
*Implement a comprehensive marketing campaign to raise awareness about the application.
*Train agents on the application functionalities and customer service.
Expected Outcomes:
- Increased access to financial services for unbanked/underbanked populations.
- Enhanced financial literacy through mobile banking education initiatives.
- Growth in cashless transactions and promotion of a digital economy.
- Increased revenue generation for Fortified Club through transaction fees.

Out-of-School Children Project

Project Goal: To provide educational opportunities and empower out-of-school children in Cameroon.
Project Activities:
- Conduct a needs assessment to identify the number, location, and specific needs of out- of-school children.
- Partner with local NGOs and community leaders to establish learning centers in undeserved areas.
- Develop a curriculum focused on literacy, numeracy, life skills, and vocational training aligned with local job market needs.
- Recruit and train volunteer teachers and facilitators.
- Secure funding and donations to cover operational costs, learning materials, and potential stipends for students incentives.
- Organize awareness campaigns to highlight the importance of education and encourage enrollment.
Expected Outcomes:
- Increased access to quality education for out-of-school children.
- improved literacy rates and numeracy skills.
- Equiping children with vocational skills to enhance their employability.
- Reduced child exploitation and social issues associated with lack of education.
- Positive community development through empowered youths.

The EYE Project

Project Goal: To inspire and equip young Cameroonians to become agents of positive change by addressing pressing social and environmental challenges.
Project Activities:
- Develop a theme for EYE For the Futurishere program, focusing on a specific challenge like climate change, youth unemployment, or access to clean water.
- Organize workshops and seminars on social entrepreneurship, design thinking, and project management.
- Invite inspiring changemakers, young entrepreneurs, and environmental activists as speakers.
- Facilitate group mentorship sessions to guide participants in developing their own action plans.
- Organize a pitch competition to award seed funding and mentorship to the most promising project ideas.
- Partner with local organizations to provide implementation support and resources.
Expected Outcomes:
- Empowered young people with the knowledge, skills, and network to address community challenges.
- Development of innovative solutions for social and environmental issues.
- Increased youth engagement in civic initiatives and social responsibility.
- Creation of sustainable change projects with measurable impact.
- Fostering a culture of innovation and social entrepreneurship in Cameroon.
